Philosophical Gifts

#218 Ben Franklin on Freedom

This wonderful piece is taken from a play written in the 1920's, and quoted by General Norman Schwarzkopf in 1991, during the Gulf War. The eagle is taken from an 1800 engraving. I added the words, "If you are not free, you are lost without hope."

Great veteran, new citizen, old citizen(!) gift.

It is presented on pale blue parchment, not matted: 11" x 17".

Print only: $15.00
